Although the GCI

need to visit AATA Online on the

"made in heaven", Exhibition in the
Ikonenmuseum, Frankfurt am Main, Germany; 26 September 1999-16
January 2000 : 82 icons from the collection of the Staatliche
Museen zu Berlin-Museum für Spätantike und byzantinische Kunst.
Among the displayed icons which remain in Frankfurt are some
overpainted icons or fakes. Especially these are to be
investigated by the museums restorer Mrs. Alexandra Bersch. Some
of the overpaintings will be removed, especially overpainted
Russian icon of Christ which has been dated as 16th century seems
to be a very important work of the 13th century.
